Bab Abu Zar Ghaffari, named after Abu Dhar Ghaffari (RA), one of the earliest companions to embrace Islam, is located on the eastern wall of the King Fahad expansion. Positioned between Bab ‘Abdulaziz on the left and Bab ‘Ali on the right, it is one of the smaller gates of the Prophet’s Mosque, featuring a single portal. Abu Dhar is known for his strict piety and opposition to Muawiyah I during the caliphate of Uthman ibn Affan.
