About Us

IslamicLandmarks.com was founded upon the realization that the Ummah is largely unaware of our historical places and, where there is some awareness, there is a lack of knowledge of the significance of these areas. There is information out there in the form of books and websites, but these generally concentrate just on very specific parts of the world.

This site is intended to bring together photographs and facts of these ‘landmarks’ in one location. This will give Muslims (and non-Muslims) a much needed source of reference to help revive interest in our history and the importance of past personalities and places.

The entries shown on this site is by no means comprehensive. Inshallah we hope to build upon the content over time and introduce many more places. Please contribute with the development of the site by contacting us with any material you may have (and any comments, suggestions etc) and donating towards the costs of maintaining the site, if possible.
